“I was probably five years old the first time I saw the Wizard of Oz and it was amazing. Every year I would wait and count the days until it came on again. It was like Christmas for me, and still today I believe the greatest movie ever made. But the most amazing thing happened when I was 21. My boyfriend bought me a colored TV. I had been watching that movie for 16 years thinking it was a black and white movie. The night I watched with my boyfriend and the door opens to Dorothy’s house and I got the first glimpse of Oz in amazing color I could not believe it!!!! I’m sure I screamed and probably cried when I saw that picture. It was even more fantastic than I even knew! To this day, people cannot believe that I did not know this movie was in color until I was 21 years old. My favorite movie and no one told me. It was truly a magical moment and something I will never forget!”
