Curtis Sharp managed to win it big by getting $5 million in 1982. However, he ended up blowing all the money in just five years. Curtis spent millions of dollars each year on women, real estate, cars, and family. But, he has become a minister for Antioch, Tennessee today. He often advises winners to clear their mind before they spend any of the money.

3. Michael Carol

Michael Carol was just 19 when he won the lottery. During that time, he was a small-time criminal who had a police ankle bracelet, yet, he ended up winning $14 million. After his big win, he spent most of his money on buying a mansion, terrorizing neighbors, and blowing off his remaining money. In the end, he ended up getting broke and lived with his mother on unemployment. Michael now works at a cookie factory and considers himself lucky to make minimum wage.

Billie Bob Harrell Jr. thought that all of his struggles came to an end when he won $30 millions from the lottery in 1997. He decided to live the easy life and quit his Home Depot job. Billie took all his family to Hawaii for a vacation and bought houses for his friends and family members. He also donated a lot of his money. However, he later received unwanted attention from people demanding him for money and ended up making a bad deal which decreased his wealth. It was only after his wife separate from him that he got in a downward spiral that led to him shooting himself in the head.
