Margaret Pellegrini, one of the three remaining Munchkins, passed away this August 7, 2013, she was 89 years old, just a few weeks shy of her 90th birthday.
On her website, she recalls heading to the movie set to shoot The Wizard of Oz. At just 15 years old, she traveled by herself on a train for three days to get to Hollywood. She was a small-town girl who made it onto the big screen, and her role as the Flower Pot Munchkin will live on and be forever cherished.
Jerry Maren and Ruth Robinson Duccini are the only two Munchkins from this iconic film still living at the time of this writing.
