He has experienced quite a meteoric rise, that goes without saying! Born and raised in Byron Bay, Australia, Sabri Suby was raised by a single mum along with his sister. She worked multiple jobs to support the pair, and this has played a key role in instilling the ethics and values of hard work and determination that have served Sabri so well to this point. At just 16, he got his first job in sales, and it was a baptism of fire. Selling ink cartridges over the phone, he was given an ultimatum – improve your performance within a week, or you’re gone. Within three weeks, he was the leading salesperson in the company, and that moment inspired him to improve and refine his sales techniques.
The King Kong Empire Begins
Fast forward twelve years to 2014, the owner of King Kong marketing agency, Sabri Suby, was born! He founded the company, and his first goal was to attain clients. Armed with $50, he purchased a headset and a VoIP account and got on his way cold-calling businesses offering his marketing expertise. A few days later, he secured his first client, and the rest, as they say, is history! Currently, King Kong is one of Australia’s fastest-growing digital marketing agencies, generating a whopping $7.8 billion in sales for clients worldwide, located in 136 different countries. Focusing heavily on conversion rates and return on investment (ROI), Sabri Suby emphasises that each and every dollar spent on marketing should bring with it a significant return. He pushes this mantra in his best-selling book “Sell Like Crazy”. He outlines his belief that understanding customer psychology and building effective sales avenues are key when growing a business and acquiring clients.
